You’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the key principles of circularity as they apply to interiors.

  • Explore common interior materials, identifying which fit within a circular mindset and which pose challenges.

  • Consider material health, what to look for in interior applications, potential risks, and emerging solutions.

  • Apply circular design strategies such as design for disassembly, longevity, repair, and modularity.

  • Use the right language around sustainability, learning how to communicate confidently with clients, avoid greenwashing, and express ideas clearly and persuasively.

We’ll also touch on key material categories, including paints, solid surfaces, furnishings, and finishes, highlighting where designers can make impactful, informed choices.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to tackle sustainability and circularity as an interior designer. with the knowledge, tools, and language to make better material choices and deliver projects that are healthy for both people and the planet.
